This Privacy Notice explains how adidas collects and uses the personal data you provide to us, or data that can be used to directly or indirectly identify you (“Personal Data”) for the purposes of managing your membership in the adiClub program.

2. Who controls your Personal Data?

For the purposes described in this notice and in accordance with applicable privacy laws, the following adidas entities are considered data controllers of your personal data:

In addition, for the purposes of:
•    Sale of adidas products (online and offline)

Adidas AG, as the main establishment under the GDPR, is primarily responsible for determining compliance strategy and implementing technical solutions to support your rights. It serves as the main contact point for all privacy-related inquiries across the EU/EEA, UK, and Switzerland.
Note: Under the EU GDPR, the entities listed above are considered "data controllers."

3. What does adidas do with your personal data and why?

3.1. Compliance with adiClub Terms and Conditions
Processing Activities:

When you apply and create a membership account with adiClub, we collect and use your personal data to manage your account and fulfill the terms and conditions of adiClub. This includes:
•    Collecting, storing, and processing the data you provided in the registration form to create your membership profile and account.
•    Assigning a unique member ID to your profile and using it along with other identifying details you provide to recognize you.
•    Storing login credentials in our global authentication platform to allow you to sign in across adidas platforms (e.g., adidas website, adidas app and adidas Running).
•    Displaying your current membership status, including profile details, tier level, points, and other relevant data across adidas platforms and apps.
•    Sending emails related to account status (e.g., tier changes), account benefits, and maintenance (e.g., password reset).
•    Sending push notifications through adidas apps regarding your membership account (e.g., tier changes, unlocked benefits, maintenance notices). You can disable push notifications at any time via your mobile device settings. Important membership-related notices may still be sent via email.
•    Verifying and using your profile/account information for participation in raffles and/or exclusive challenges. This may include sharing your contact information with partners who help administer the raffles and prizes.
•    Calculating your club points and redeemable benefits. This may include sharing your information with partners managing these benefits on our behalf or providing the rewards directly.
•    Updating your points balance after redemption.
•    Tracking your activity and redemption history.
•    Providing access to special offers and promotions.
•    Sending invitations to exclusive events.
•    Granting access to limited edition products.
•    Providing the basic features of the adidas Running (subject to change).
•    Storing your shipping address and payment details to shorten the checkout process.
•    Saving your full order history for future access.
•    Allowing you to track shipments directly from your account.
•    Providing access to your membership profile and offering customer support – including updating account details at your request, answering inquiries regarding your purchases or account, technical support, and handling privacy-related questions using your member ID.
•    Storing all personal data collected directly or indirectly and linked to your member ID or email, including data shared in adidas retail stores, outlets, and franchise locations, for the purpose of tier level calculation and enabling the above features.
•    Sharing membership data with adiClub partners and receiving shared data for the purpose of earning rewards or points. This sharing is based solely on your explicit consent at the time of data collection. You can withdraw your consent at any time.


Legal Basis:
The data is provided by you or collected based on your consent during membership registration or when using our services. You are not obligated to provide consent, but if you do not, we may not be able to provide access to adiClub membership or related services.

3.2 Personalized Content, Experience, Marketing & Business Analysis, and Targeted Communications
Processing Activities:

We use your personal data to personalize content for you and to ensure our communications are more relevant to you, so that you are more likely to remain a member, engage with our marketing, and continue purchasing adidas products or using our platforms.
This includes:
•    Sending personalized emails about ways to earn points, retain your tier, and promotional offers for adidas products, services, and lifestyle recommendations. You can opt out at any time by using the "unsubscribe" link in the message.
•    Sending push notifications via adidas apps related to earning points, retaining your tier, promotions, and fitness/lifestyle suggestions. These can be disabled via your mobile device settings. Email communication may still occur.
•    Sending WhatsApp messages about promotions, launches etc. Can be stopped anytime simply by following the steps detailed in the message.
•    Tracking your online browsing behavior via cookies, pixels, and tags - provided you are logged in and have consented to our use of these technologies.
•    Storing all data collected directly or indirectly and associating it with your adiClub ID or email, including data shared in adidas stores, outlets, or franchises. This is used to calculate your points/tier and enhance your profile.
•    Analyzing all personal data collected directly or indirectly and associating it with your adiClub profile. This may include retail interactions and franchise data.
Tracking Technologies Used:
•    Cookies and similar technologies such as flash cookies, tracking links, beacons, and pixels are used for analytics, advertising, and personalization.
•    You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through the “Cookie Settings” link at the bottom of our website.
•    We use click-stream data (e.g., your IP address, visit time, referring URL, visited pages, browser type, OS, etc.) to improve usability.
•    Flash cookies are stored outside your browser and can only be deleted using dedicated Flash tools.
•    Web beacons (pixels) track interactions with emails and websites to analyze campaign effectiveness and usage behavior.
Audience Management and Profiling:
We combine all available data (direct and inferred) to build a customer profile, which helps us:
